It's Christmas time, which means sugar cookies are everywhere! They come in all shapes and sizes, frosted or simply rolled in sugar, and bring holiday joy wherever they go😍.
My personal favorite kind is the soft and chewy kind (as opposed to shaped and frosted). Just roll that baby in a bit of sugar and under bake it a tad and I'm sold! Anyone else??
That was my inspiration for my holiday sugar cookie macaron. I took a classic vanilla macaron and filled it with a delicate vanilla swiss buttercream (a less sweet frosting) and topped them all in sugar for that crunchy sugary crust. The classic sugar cookie elevated in macaron form.
You aren't going to find any macarons like this anywhere else in League City or Dickinson, that's for sure!
She's full and fluffy and oh-so-luxurious but at the same time classic Christmas.
