It's local restaurant review time!
Today I want to share this hidden gem in League City: Rustika Cafe & Bakery. It has a cozy, mom-and-pop shop feel inside and serves food and beverages as well as desserts.
I tried multiple of their desserts when I went, and I really liked their mini New York Cheesecake and their French Silk pie. The cheesecake was creamy, rich, and smooth, and I enjoyed its subtle sweetness. The cream cheese frosting border was also delicious, and its those flavor details that really can make a dessert stand out.
The French Silk pie was chocolatey, rich and smooth as well, and not super sweet, which is a good thing in my opinion.
I also liked that they were served in the "mini pie" format because it was perfect if you don't want a whole full size cheesecake or pie.
I only tried their baked goods so I can't speak for the food, but the mini desserts were definitely a win for me.
Next time I want cheesecake, I'm stopping here for sure 😊
