Stepping into the breakroom during the holidays can be a treat. Coworkers bringing in their favorite homemade festive treats, office potluck leftovers, gifts from grateful clients....but there also can be some duds in there.
Have you ever walked into the breakroom after lunch, looking for something sweet to get you to 5pm, and the only snacks in there are grocery store sugar cookies or day-old donuts?
I don't know about you, but that's not my idea of an ideal holiday snack.
Instead you can be the hero of the breakroom and bring in something different and delicious to celebrate the holidays!
Homemade is always best, but if you don't have time (or energy, or skill), you can still elevate the flavor level of your breakroom food options with ideas from this list.
1. Coffee....GOOD coffee. Maybe your office is awesome and makes really good coffee, but in my experience office coffee usually resembles hot brown water😬. Just head over to your favorite coffee shop (local is better! check out this new place in Dickinson) and get a large traveler coffee to bring in and share. Your coworkers will thank you!
2. Charcuterie Board. Not everything has to be sweet! Impress your coworkers with a selection of meats, cheeses, nuts and fruit. Perfect for afternoon grazing!
3. Macarons! Y'all know I think macarons are the BEST. You really will be everyone's favorite co-worker if you bring a few boxes of macarons in. You can get those from me here.
4. Sugar Cookies. I realize I gave grocery store sugar cookies some shade (well-deserved, in my opinion) but there's nothing wrong with bringing some sugar cookies into the office! Just make sure they are the good kind, like from Mixing House.
5. Cake, cupcakes, any form of cake. Everyone loves cake. Bring some fall-inspired cupcakes or cake to the office and people won't leave the breakroom! Perfect with that nice coffee you brought as well😉. My Chai Caramel Cake would definitely bring those fall vibes, you can order it here.
